During last 25 years Director-Producer-Writer K.C. Bokadia has given hits like ‘ Aaj ka Arjun’ ,‘Lal Badshah’, Pyar Jhukta Nahin, Teri Meherbaniyan, Naseeb Apna Apna, Kudrat Ka Kanoon, Insaaf Kaun Karega, Kab Tak Chup Rahoongi, Hum Bhi Insaan Hai, Jawab Hum Denge, Main Tera Dushman, Mere Sajna Saath Nibhana, Janta Ki Adalat, Aao Pyar Karein, Goondagardi, Paap Ka Anth, Zakhmi Sipahi, Sultan, Pyar Kiya Hai Pyar Karenge and many others. His last film was Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam which came five years ago.
Now his latest film “Khuda Kasam” is ready for 10th September 2010 release on Eid. Though K.C. Bokadia has directed the film but it has been produced by Amit Bokadia and presented by Lalit Modi and T.P. Agarawal.
Excerpts:
Q. Tell us about your latest film Khuda Kasam.?
A. This is a social film and family entertainer. Sunny Deol, Tabbu, Mukesh Rishi, Ashish Vidyarthi,. Govind Namdev,Farida Jalal are in the film. Sunny plays a truck driver .This character is simple and honest muslim, who become violent after he is indicted in a false case by Home Minister, played be Ashish Vidyarthiand ,Tabbu plays a Police Officer, Mukesh Rishi is in the role of Jailor and Govind Namdev is police S. P The Film is about how Sunny, a Muslim, stands for a Hindu Family.
Q. What are the highlights of your film?
A. There are people in our society who want to break the country by creating rift between Hindus and Muslims. We have shown the love between them. We have shown that both communities have contributed to the country in equal measure. There are dialogues which, i am sure, will touch public's heart. " Hindustan ki Azadi Mein Jitna Khoon Hinduo ney bahaya hai ,utna hi khoon Musalmano ney bhi Bahaya hai" (The Musilms have shed their blood in equal measure as Hindus for India's Independence), We Indians are all one. We should not get befooled by someone and shed each other's blood.... We should promote peace and friendship. I am also sure that the Song "Maula Mera Daman Bhar De" will be liked by everyone. At the same time this film has massage that communal riots and hatred do not do us good.
Q. Your last film “Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam” came five years ago. Why such a big break?
A. Actually I have been working on one more film with Govinda and Priyanka Chopra. This film will release on Diwali. Because of some problems with distribution, I have deiced to release it myself. I have made a family film. I don't make films on a set pattern and without any reason. I don’t follow anyone as it is trend here. One film is hit and everybody seems to be doing the same. This senseless rat race results in deterioration of quality of films. I advise our friends to make such films where our culture and indianness are highlighted. They should strive for good subject and good films not just money; money will automatically follow once you make a good film.
Q. What is your type of film?
A. A film whole family can watch together. It must have a message but should be told in subtle and entertaining way. Society must benefit from this. The Audience want good films. Actually we the filmmakers are failing them. I have always made socially relevant films and they have all super hits. I will continue making such films.
Q. What is your message to the audience?
I want to assure them that it is a good family entertainer. Go and watch it with your family. It has good music, good songs and superb action by Sunny. It has message which help the younger audience to know what is right and what is wrong .
